Web platforms for complex workflows

Web Platform & B2B Portal Development: when the user needs to calculate, configure, submit, approve, track or work with structured data, we turn the workflow into a clear web interface with defined roles and states.

Which task must a user complete without calling your team?

FOR THE CUSTOMER

The relevant status, document or action for that person’s role.

FOR THE BUSINESS

Consistent records, permissions and a traceable change history.

WHAT WE DESIGN

Start with one complete workflow

A useful first release closes a task end to end rather than displaying a large menu of unfinished features.

Roles

Specify what clients, managers and administrators may view or change.

Business rules

Express prices, approvals and calculations as testable conditions.

System boundaries

Name the source of each record and what the interface shows when a connection fails.

IN OPERATION

A status must mean the same thing everywhere

Customer screens and internal systems need a shared definition of states, identifiers and error recovery.

KEY DECISION

Custom code needs ownership

The product requires a decision maker, documentation and a change process after launch. Those responsibilities belong in the estimate.
Industries

Start with the work users really do

A partner portal, client cabinet and internal workflow need different roles, states and permissions. We model the platform around the process users must complete.

BEFORE WE START

Start with a real process, not a feature list

What should the first version actually do?

Choose one complete workflow with clear entry, permissions and an end state. Mapping every possible feature before testing the core task usually obscures the highest-risk decisions.

How are roles and approvals defined?

Start from who may see, enter, amend, approve and export each record. Test exceptions such as a rejected application, reassignment and a user whose access has been removed.

How can the platform connect to existing systems?

Define identifiers and the owner of each data field. Document retries and failures so staff know when a record was transferred and when intervention is required.

WRITE FAILURE CASES INTO THE SPECIFICATION

Design permissions and failure cases before screens

A client portal needs explicit rules: who sees a record, who approves a change and what happens when a request fails halfway through. We map roles and exceptions before designing screens. The first release should include auditability, data-export needs and a clear method for support staff to resolve errors. Without those rules, a polished interface only conceals operational uncertainty.

USERS AND WORKFLOWS

Which workflow would you move out of spreadsheets?

Describe the users, the task they must complete, the statuses involved and the systems that hold the data. We will turn that workflow into a buildable platform scope.
